How the matcher builds your suite

Dealer configurators only show one brand, and most “best brand” lists ignore how you actually cook. This matcher scores every appliance we cover: 108 models from 42 brands: against the same rules, and no brand or dealer can pay to rank higher.

Each appliance starts with our editorial ratings for performance, design, features and value. Your answers then add or subtract points: serious cooks weight performance, bakers favor even ovens and steam, a gas preference rules out induction ranges, your kitchen size favors the right widths, and your chosen look favors brands whose design fits it, pro-style stainless, panel-ready integration, minimal European or a statement range.

We then pick the best-scoring appliance in each category you need and, if the total runs over your budget, swap in the next-best option where it saves the most money for the least compromise. You’ll see the full suite, the total at list prices, alternatives for every slot and the brands that fit you best. Read the full rules on our methodology page.
