The Wolf 48-inch dual fuel range with six burners and an infrared griddle (DF48650G) is the entertainer's version of Wolf's flagship: more burners, a griddle and two electric ovens. Wolf's burners top out at 20,000 BTU, the griddle is rated at 15,000 BTU, and the ovens total 7.8 cubic feet. List price is about $18,180 to $20,155 depending on configuration. The trade-off is that neither oven is as large as the single oven in Wolf's 36-inch model, and you'll need a serious hood.
Best for: Serious cooks · Entertainers · Bakers · Large kitchens · Gas-flame cooking
What we like
- Six dual-stacked burners plus a 15,000 BTU infrared griddle
- Two ovens let you roast and bake at different temperatures
- Dual VertiCross convection and 10 cooking modes
- Wi-Fi remote preheat and diagnostics
- Multiple knob, bezel and finish options
Watch out for
- About $18,180 to $20,155 list
- 5.1 cu ft main oven is smaller than the 36-inch model's 6.3
- Demands a wide, powerful hood and serious makeup-air planning
Design and build
The 48-inch Wolf is a statement piece: six burners and a griddle across the top, a large oven and a smaller companion oven below. Like the 36, it comes in stainless, black or white, with knob and bezel choices that move the price.
Variants matter. The DF48650C swaps the griddle for a charbroiler, and the DF48450CG has four burners with both a charbroiler and griddle. Propane versions carry an LP suffix.
Performance on paper
Burners range from a 9,200 BTU minimum-rated position to 20,000 BTU at the top. Wolf's dual-stacked design splits the flame into two tiers, so you get high output for searing and a controlled low flame for delicate sauces. With six burners plus a griddle, you can run a full holiday menu without juggling pans.
The ovens are 5.1 and 2.7 cubic feet, for 7.8 total, per Ferguson's listing. You may see "6.9 cubic feet total" at another retailer; that appears to be an arithmetic error. Two ovens are the real advantage: a turkey in the big oven, pies in the small one, both at their own temperatures. Dual VertiCross convection keeps baking even.
Compare that with the Monogram 48's 8.25 cubic feet and the Thermador Pro Grand's 3.0 usable in its main oven, and Wolf sits in the middle: less total space than Monogram, but a far roomier main cavity than the Thermador.
Who it's for (and who should skip it)
Buy it if you entertain often, cook for crowds or bake and roast at the same time. It suits large kitchens with room for a 48-inch opening and a matching hood.
Skip it if one big oven matters more than two smaller ones, or if your kitchen and budget can't handle the ventilation. A 36-inch range plus a wall oven may be the better plan.
Families who host a few big holidays a year may find the 36-inch model plus a wall oven more flexible day to day.
Price, warranty and service
List price is about $18,180 to $20,155. Wolf sets minimum advertised prices, so ask dealers about Sub-Zero and Wolf package pricing. Warranty is 2 years full and 5 years limited, per retailer listings. A range this powerful needs proper ventilation; factor hood and installation into your budget.
How it compares
See Thermador vs Wolf, which pits it against the Thermador Pro Grand 48 with steam, and Viking vs Wolf. The Monogram 48 dual fuel offers more oven space for less. Our best 48-inch ranges and the range hub have the full list, and the Kitchen Suite Matcher builds the rest of the suite.
Our verdict
The Wolf 48 dual fuel is the entertainer's benchmark: six strong burners, an infrared griddle and two convection ovens. It's expensive, and Monogram offers more oven space for less, but if you want Wolf's proven burners at full scale, this is the one.

Questions about the Wolf 48-inch Dual Fuel Range, 6 Burners + Infrared Griddle
How much oven space does the Wolf 48-inch dual fuel range have?
The DF48650G has a 5.1-cubic-foot main oven and a 2.7-cubic-foot secondary oven, for 7.8 cubic feet total per Ferguson's listing. Some retailers show 6.9 total, which looks like an arithmetic error. Confirm with your dealer. Either way, the two-oven layout is the main benefit.
Is the Wolf 48-inch range worth it over the 36-inch?
If you regularly cook for crowds or want two ovens at different temperatures, yes. If you mostly cook for a family, the 36-inch model's single 6.3-cubic-foot oven is larger and the range costs several thousand dollars less. A wall oven pairing is the other route.
What size hood do I need for a Wolf 48-inch range?
You'll want a hood at least as wide as the range, and many designers go wider. The required airflow depends on the burners, griddle and your kitchen layout. Use our CFM calculator and check local makeup-air rules before finalizing your plans.
