The Breville Joule Oven Air Fryer Pro (BOV950) is the connected version of Breville's popular countertop oven. It adds Joule Autopilot, which runs guided multi-step recipes from the app, push notifications and Alexa and Google Assistant voice control. By the specs it has 13 presets plus 3 app-only modes, 1,800 watts and 0.9 cu. ft., enough for a 13-inch pizza, nine slices of toast, a 14-lb turkey or a 9x13 pan. Breville lists it at about $499.95. Buy it if you'll use the app; otherwise the Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro costs less.

The BOV950 is about 21.5 inches wide and weighs 38.9 lb, in brushed stainless steel; a black stainless version (BOV950BST) appears at some retailers. It includes a 13-inch pizza pan. It's a big countertop footprint, so plan where it lives before buying.
Performance on paper: smart features and capacity
The connected features are the reason to choose this over the non-connected Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro. Joule Autopilot runs guided recipes that change temperature and mode on their own, so you don't babysit a roast. The app sends push notifications when food is done, and voice control works with Alexa and Google Assistant. Breville's page doesn't say "Wi-Fi" explicitly, but app connectivity implies it.
Thirteen presets cover air fry, dehydrate, slow cook and proof, with three more modes in the app. Capacity is 0.9 cu. ft., from a Best Buy Canada listing title. Breville doesn't publish a maximum temperature. There's no steam, which is the main gap versus the Anova.
Who it's for (and who should skip it)
Buy it if you like guided cooking and phone alerts, cook for a small family, or want a capable second oven in a small kitchen.
Skip it if you don't want an app in your cooking. The Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro offers similar cooking for less. Skip it too if steam baking or sous vide matters; the Anova Precision Oven 2.0 does both.
Price, warranty and service
Breville lists the BOV950 at about $499.95, and Abt matches it. Coverage is a 2-year limited parts and labor warranty, per Abt. Unlike some Breville models, we found no discontinued flags for this one.
