The De'Longhi Eletta Explore (ECAM45086S) is the most feature-packed super-automatic for the money. It lists at $1,999.95 (on sale for $1,799.95 when we checked on October 7, 2026), and brings Cold Extraction cold brew, two milk carafes (LatteCrema Hot and LatteCrema Cool) and more than 50 one-touch recipes. That's cold brew for about half the price of a Jura Z10. The trade-offs are a silver plastic-and-metal look that's less refined than Jura, and murky details on Wi-Fi and warranty.

Best for: Coffee lovers · Milk drinks · Push-button convenience · Attainable luxury · Entertainers

What we like

  • Cold Extraction cold brew at about half the price of the Jura Z10
  • Hot and cool milk carafes for cappuccino and cold foam
  • 50+ one-touch recipes and user profiles on a touchscreen
  • 13-setting conical burr grinder, 19-bar pump
  • Travel-mug clearance

Watch out for

  • Wi-Fi isn't explicitly stated on De'Longhi's US page
  • Warranty listed as 2 years, but a site banner says 3
  • Silver only, and less premium-looking than Jura

Design and build of the De'Longhi Eletta Explore

The Eletta Explore is 10.25 inches wide, 15.13 inches tall and 17.5 inches deep, slimmer than either Jura we cover. It comes in silver only. The touchscreen supports user profiles, so each person can save their drinks, and the spout clears a travel mug, which matters on busy mornings.

The look is more appliance than jewelry. Next to a Jura or a La Marzocco it reads as mainstream, so weigh that if the machine will be on display in a luxury kitchen.

Performance on paper

The 19-bar pump and 13-setting conical burr grinder are standard super-automatic hardware. The 10.58 oz hopper and 60.87 fl oz tank are mid-sized.

The milk system is the standout. LatteCrema Hot handles cappuccino and latte, and LatteCrema Cool makes cold foam for iced drinks, a pairing few machines match. Cold Extraction brews cold coffee without ice-diluted espresso. Combined, you can make an iced latte with cold foam at the push of a button.

De'Longhi lists custom recipes through its app, but its US page doesn't state Wi-Fi or confirm the app name, so treat connectivity as unverified.

Who it's for (and who should skip it)

Buy it if you drink iced coffee and milk drinks, want the widest menu, and would rather spend $2,000 than $4,000. It's an excellent first super-automatic for a family with different tastes. Not sure? Our coffee finder asks five questions.

Skip it if design matters most on an open counter, or if you want Swiss build and a simpler, proven menu; the Jura E8 suits you better. Hands-on espresso fans should look at Breville.

Keep the two carafes in mind when you plan storage. Each one lives in the refrigerator between uses, so you'll want shelf space for both, and each needs rinsing after milk drinks. That's routine upkeep, but it's double the routine of a single-carafe machine.

Price, warranty and service

De'Longhi lists $1,999.95, with a $1,799.95 sale on October 7, 2026 at both De'Longhi and Seattle Coffee Gear; sales come and go, so don't count on it. The product page lists a 2-year warranty, while a site banner advertises 3 years, so confirm before you buy. As with any super-automatic, two milk systems mean more parts to clean.

How the De'Longhi Eletta Explore compares

Jura vs De'Longhi compares it with the Jura E8. The Jura Z10 adds Swiss build and cold extraction for about double. See best super-automatic espresso machines and the coffee hub.

Our verdict

The De'Longhi Eletta Explore is the feature-per-dollar winner: cold brew, hot and cold milk foam and 50+ recipes for about $1,999.95. It's less polished than Jura, and its Wi-Fi and warranty details need confirming. Buy it for iced drinks on a budget; buy Jura for design.

Questions about the De'Longhi Eletta Explore Fully Automatic Espresso Machine with Cold Brew

Does the De'Longhi Eletta Explore make cold brew?

Yes. Cold Extraction brews coffee with cold water on demand, rather than pouring hot espresso over ice. Paired with the LatteCrema Cool carafe for cold foam, it can make iced lattes and cold-foam drinks with one touch, features usually found on machines costing twice as much.

Does the Eletta Explore have Wi-Fi?

De'Longhi lists app-based custom recipes, but its US product page doesn't explicitly state Wi-Fi, and we couldn't verify the app name. Ask the retailer to confirm connectivity if it matters. Every drink can be made from the touchscreen without the app.

What warranty comes with the De'Longhi Eletta Explore?

The product page lists a 2-year included warranty, while a banner on De'Longhi's US site advertises 3 years. The sources conflict, so confirm the term with the seller at checkout and keep your receipt. Register the machine either way, and keep the box until you are past the return window.
