The Perlick Signature 24-inch beverage center (HP24BS) is the one to buy if you want a bar fridge that feels commercial rather than decorative. It holds 5.2 cubic feet, or about 62 cans plus 16 wine bottles, at 33 to 48°F, and Perlick backs it with 3 years of parts and labor if you register within 90 days. AJ Madison lists it at about $4,920. It's single-zone and not cheap, but the build and warranty justify the premium for heavy entertainers.

Best for: Entertainers · Wine collectors

What we like

  • 3-year parts and labor with registration, longer than most rivals
  • Holds 62 cans and 16 bottles in 5.2 cu ft
  • Cold range down to 33°F for beer and soda
  • Four door styles, including panel-ready glass
  • Energy Star certified

Watch out for

  • About $1,300 more than Sub-Zero's 24-inch beverage center
  • One temperature range for everything, no dual zone
  • No Wi-Fi or app alerts
  • Finish suffixes in retailer listings still need dealer confirmation

Design and build

Perlick built its name on commercial bar refrigeration, and the Signature line carries that over. The cabinet is 24 inches wide, 34.25 inches tall and 24 inches deep, so it drops into a standard undercounter opening. You choose a stainless solid door, stainless glass, panel-ready solid or panel-ready glass, and the door converts later from stainless to a wood overlay if your cabinetry changes.

Inside are two full-extension wine racks and a full-extension general shelf, so you can reach the back row without unloading the front. Lighting switches between Crisp White and Cool Blue LED, and an optional lock is available.

Performance on paper

The 33 to 48°F range is the useful part. You can run it near freezing for beer and soda, or at the warmer end if it's mostly holding white wine. Controls are digital and defrost is automatic. Perlick does not split this unit into two zones, so you pick one temperature that suits the mix you store.

AJ Madison lists annual energy use as both 275 and 290 kWh per year. Either way it's Energy Star certified.

Who it's for (and who should skip it)

Buy it if you host often, keep a mix of cans and a dozen-plus bottles cold, and want a fridge that will take years of door slams.

Skip it if you mainly store wine at cellar temperature; a dedicated wine unit serves you better. Skip it too if you'd rather have drawers, which are easier to load from above.

Price, warranty and service

AJ Madison lists the stainless solid-door, left-hinge model at about $4,920. Retailer finish codes (-4-1 solid stainless, -4-2 panel solid, -4-3 stainless glass, -4-4 panel glass) were inferred from listings, so confirm the exact model with your dealer. The 3-year parts and labor warranty only applies if you register within 90 days; otherwise it's 2 years. Sealed-system parts are covered to 6 years total on undercounter units.

How it compares

The Sub-Zero Designer 24-inch beverage center costs less (about $3,595) and holds 5.5 cu ft but only 8 bottles. The True Residential 24-inch beverage center fits 147 cans and 13 bottles. If you prefer drawers, see Perlick's Signature refrigerator drawers. Our best refrigerator drawers and beverage centers ranks them all, the undercounter refrigeration hub explains sizing, and a package quote can fold this into a larger order.

Our verdict

The Perlick Signature 24 is the beverage center for people who actually use one hard. Cold-down to 33°F, generous bottle storage and a registered 3-year warranty outweigh the price premium. Wine-first buyers and anyone wanting dual zones should look elsewhere.
