Register within 90 days and the warranty is 3 years parts and labor. The trade-off is fewer smart features than Sub-Zero.

Design and build of the Perlick refrigerator drawers

The HP24RS-4-5 is 34.25 inches tall and 24 inches deep, built for standard base cabinets. Perlick is known for commercial-grade, all-stainless undercounter refrigeration, and these drawers are stainless inside and out, riding on full-extension ball-bearing glides. You can choose 6000K white or cool-blue LED lighting.

The DL version adds a factory lock, useful for a bar or a home with teenagers. One dealer lists a panel-ready option, but we couldn't verify its model number.

Performance on paper

At 5.2 cu ft, these drawers hold 30% more than Sub-Zero's 4.0 cu ft in the same width. That's room for 144 12-oz cans, so they suit a bar or entertaining space as well as snacks and produce.

The stated 33 to 42°F range covers everything from cold drinks to produce and deli items. A variable-speed compressor rated at 1,000 BTU adjusts output to demand rather than cycling on and off at full power, and it uses R600a refrigerant. An audible door-ajar alarm helps if a drawer doesn't close.

There's no Wi-Fi. Energy Star status conflicts between dealers, so we don't claim it.

Who it's for (and who should skip it)

Buy them if you entertain often, want maximum storage in 24 inches and prefer the durability and look of all-stainless construction. They're a strong fit for bars, family rooms and outdoor-adjacent spaces.

Skip them if you want app control or a guaranteed panel-ready match with a Sub-Zero kitchen; Sub-Zero's ID-24R is the integrated choice.

Because Perlick doesn't add a screen or app, there's less to go wrong electronically. As with any undercounter unit, though, follow the ventilation requirements in the installation guide, and confirm that authorized service is available locally.

Expect about $5,386 for the HP24RS-4-5 and $5,700 for the lockable DL version. Dealer packages are where savings come from, so get a package quote if you're buying more than one undercounter unit.

Perlick's residential warranty is 3 years parts and labor if you register within 90 days, 2 years otherwise, with sealed-system parts covered to 6 years total on undercounter units. Register on day one.
