Thermador appliances: review and lineup
We may earn a commission from retailers or dealers when you buy or request a quote through our links. It never changes our picks. How we make money.
Thermador is the luxury brand of BSH, the Bosch Group appliance company that also owns Bosch and Gaggenau. It's known for patented Star burners, Freedom full-surface induction and column refrigeration, and some of the most generous bundle promotions in luxury appliances.
Our database covers six Thermador lines. For cooking: the Pro Grand 48 dual fuel with steam oven (about $19,899), the Pro Harmony 36 gas range (about $7,749, one of the best values in pro ranges), the Masterpiece 30 wall oven and the Freedom 36 induction cooktop. For refrigeration, the Freedom 36 French door. For cleanup, the Star Sapphire dishwasher.
The standard warranty is 2 years parts and labor on the entire appliance, with extra sealed-system coverage on built-in refrigeration and parts-only coverage to year 5 on dishwasher electronics and racks. The 2026 Gift With Purchase event (January 1 to December 31, 2026) offers up to three complimentary appliances or upgrades with qualifying cooking or refrigeration purchases on one order through authorized dealers.
Who should shop Thermador: anyone outfitting a whole kitchen who wants to use the promotion, and cooks who value Star burners or full-surface induction. Who should skip it: bakers who need maximum oven capacity at 48 inches; the Pro Grand trades conventional oven space for steam, and Wolf and Monogram offer more. Buyers who want the longest full warranty should look at Gaggenau instead.
One practical tip: because the promotion rewards buying several pieces on one order, plan the whole kitchen before you shop rather than buying one appliance at a time.

Our database now covers more of the Thermador kitchen. The Professional 36-inch rangetop (about $4,999) pairs six Star burners with ExtraLow simmer, and the Masterpiece 36-inch gas cooktop lists around $2,599. The Freedom 24-inch freezer column (about $8,949) completes a column pair, and the 30-inch warming drawer adds a Proof mode. Thermador's 24-inch built-in coffee machine is marked no longer available on its product pages, so check stock. Compare Wolf vs Thermador rangetops.
Current promotion: Gift With Purchase Sales Event (successor to 'One, Two, Free'): Up to three complimentary appliances/upgrades with qualifying cooking or refrigeration purchases; other appliances at regular price, one order, authorized dealers, no substitutions., Valid January 1, 2026 - December 31, 2026. Thermador 24-inch Built-in Coffee Machine
Thermador · Coffee machine · Built-in
- $4,349-$4,729 MSRP
- 24″ wide
- 2-yr full warranty
- Grinder: ceramic disc
- One-touch drinks: 11
The Thermador built-in coffee machine comes in two 24-inch versions: the TCM24PS with a direct water line and the TCM24TS with a removable tank. Thermador lists them at $4,729 and $4,349. On paper it's a solid push-button machine with a ceramic disc grinder, 11 one-touch drinks and Home Connect. The bigger issue is availability: both individual product pages now say the product is no longer available, and at least one major dealer shows the tank model as unavailable. Treat it as end-of-life and confirm stock before you design a niche around it.

Thermador · Cooktop · Gas

It's about $320 less than Wolf's CG365P and includes three burners at 12,000 BTU or more. The trade-offs: its top burner is weaker than the model it replaced, and Thermador doesn't publish the ExtraLow BTU.

The Thermador Freedom induction cooktop (CIT36YWB) is the most flexible priced induction cooktop in our lineup. Add 17 power levels, PowerBoost on all zones, a TFT touchscreen, TeppanyakiPro and hood sync. At about $6,699 MSRP it costs nearly double the zoned rivals. For entertainers and serious cooks who juggle odd pan sizes, the freedom is worth paying for.

At about $2,499 MSRP it sits between Bosch Benchmark and Cove. It isn't the quietest, but it offers a longer full warranty than Bosch and a Chef's Tool Drawer that helps after big dinners. For a Thermador kitchen, it's the natural fit.

Thermador lists it at about $2,249; AJ Madison shows a $2,499 MSRP but sells it at $2,249, so expect to see both numbers. The trade-offs are a smaller oven, only four cooking modes and less top-end power than Wolf or BlueStar. For budget-minded remodelers who want the pro look, it's the first range to shortlist on paper.
Thermador Pro Grand 48-inch Dual Fuel Range with Steam Oven & Griddle
Thermador · Range · Dual-fuel
- $19,899 MSRP
- 48″ wide
- Dual fuel
- 2-yr full warranty
- Burners: 6
- Max burner output (BTU): 22,000
The Thermador Pro Grand 48-inch dual fuel range with steam oven and griddle (PRD48WDSGU) is the most feature-loaded 48-inch range here. It combines six Star burners up to 22,000 BTU with ExtraLow simmering, a 12-inch electric griddle, and a full-steam secondary oven. List price is $19,899. The catch is capacity: Thermador rates the main oven at just 3.0 cubic feet of AHAM usable space, so check whether your biggest roasting pan fits before committing. For steam lovers, though, nothing else here combines it all.
Thermador Freedom 24-inch Built-in Freezer Column

- $8,949 MSRP

Thermador Freedom 36-inch Built-in French Door Bottom Freezer
Thermador · Refrigerator · French door
- $11,599 MSRP
- 36″ wide
- 2-yr full warranty
The Thermador Freedom 36-inch French door built-in (T36IT100NP) is the most feature-packed integrated fridge at this size, and the smartest buy if you want one panel-ready box rather than a column pair. It lists at $11,599 on thermador.com and brings a convertible ThermaFlex drawer, interior cameras, an internal water dispenser and diamond-shaped ice. The trade-off is space: 18.8 cubic feet gross is modest, and panels and handles are sold separately. On paper, it's the strongest all-in-one choice for a 36-inch opening.
Thermador Masterpiece 30-inch Single Wall Oven
Thermador · Wall oven · Convection
- $5,799 MSRP
- 30″ wide
- Electric
