The Bosch 800 Series BCM8450UC is the least expensive way to put a fully automatic coffee machine in a 24-inch wall niche, at a $3,999 list price. It pairs a 19-bar pump with a SilentCeramic Drive grinder, a 500 g bean container, a 0.5 L insulated milk container and 11 one-touch drinks, two cups at a time. Two flags: Bosch has no Benchmark-series built-in coffee machine in the US, so this 800 Series model is its only option, and Bosch's own product page showed it out of stock when we checked.

Best for: Coffee lovers · Milk drinks · Push-button convenience · Integrated / panel-ready look · Attainable luxury

Design and build of the Bosch 800 Series coffee machine

The BCM8450UC measures 17.9 inches tall, 23.4 inches wide and 14.8 inches deep, converted from Bosch's metric spec sheet. That shallow body suits a standard 24-inch oven column, and Bosch says it installs without sliding rails, which simplifies the cabinetwork. The stainless front is built to sit with Bosch wall ovens, and it's 800 Series, not Benchmark, so expect slightly simpler trim than Bosch's top tier.

It draws 1,600 W, and Home Connect adds app control for recipes and settings.

Performance on paper

The pump is rated at 19 bar, matching or exceeding most super-automatics. The SilentCeramic Drive grinder pairs with CoffeeSensor, which adjusts grinding to the bean, and AromaDouble Shot grinds and brews twice for a stronger cup with less bitterness than one long extraction. The 500 g bean container is generous for a built-in.

Milk lives in a 0.5 L insulated stainless container, and the system steam-rinses itself after milk drinks, which is the maintenance task owners most often skip. OneTouch DoubleCup makes two milk drinks at once, and you can save 8 favorites.

Who it's for (and who should skip it)

Buy it if you want built-in convenience and a clean column without paying Miele or Wolf prices. It's the value choice, and the features cover what most households drink: espresso, cappuccino, latte and coffee.

Skip it if you want plumbing, two bean hoppers or long published warranty coverage; the Miele CVA 7845 is the upgrade. And if your budget is closer to $2,500, a countertop Jura E8 does similar work without cabinetry.

Placement matters as much as the machine. Put it at a comfortable working height in the column, near a spot where you can set down cups, and leave access for refilling the 2.4 L tank and bean container, since there's no plumbing to do that for you.

Price, warranty and service

Bosch lists the BCM8450UC at $3,999. Bosch's standard US warranty is 1 year limited on the entire appliance, but the US product page doesn't state this machine's term, so confirm it with your dealer. Because stock looked thin, ask a dealer to check availability before your cabinet drawings are final. Request a package quote with your Bosch ovens and dishwasher.

How the Bosch 800 Series compares

The Thermador built-in coffee machine is a BSH sibling with a plumbed version, but it may be discontinued. The Wolf E Series coffee system matches Wolf ovens for $366 more. See best built-in coffee machines and our coffee hub.

Our verdict

The Bosch 800 Series BCM8450UC is the smart-money built-in: 19 bar, a ceramic grinder, a self-rinsing milk system and two-cup brewing for $3,999. It lacks plumbing and its warranty term isn't published, and stock looked thin. Buy it for value; buy Miele for convenience.

Questions about the Bosch 800 Series 24-inch Built-in Coffee Machine

Does Bosch make a Benchmark built-in coffee machine?

Not in the US. The 800 Series BCM8450UC is Bosch's only built-in coffee machine here, so it's the model to pair with Benchmark wall ovens too. The stainless finish coordinates, though trim details differ slightly from Benchmark pieces. Confirm the look in a showroom if exact matching matters.

Can the Bosch BCM8450UC be plumbed?

No. It uses a 2.4 L removable water tank, with no plumbed version. If a water line is a must, the Miele CVA 7845 has DirectWater plumbing, and Thermador's TCM24PS did too, though that model may be discontinued. For most households, refilling 2.4 L every day or two is manageable.

Is the Bosch 800 Series coffee machine in stock?

Bosch's US product page showed it out of stock when we checked on October 7, 2026. That can change quickly, so ask an authorized dealer to confirm availability and lead time before you commit to the niche dimensions in your cabinet plans.
