Bosch appliances: review and lineup
We may earn a commission from retailers or dealers when you buy or request a quote through our links. It never changes our picks. How we make money.
Bosch is BSH's mainstream appliance brand, sister to Thermador and Gaggenau, and its Benchmark line is the premium tier that earns it a place on a luxury site. Bosch is best known for very quiet, well-priced dishwashers, and Benchmark extends that into cooking.
Three Bosch Benchmark lines are in our database. The Bosch Benchmark dishwasher is rated at 39 dBA, holds 16 place settings, includes a water softener and lists around $1,999; it's one of the strongest values in the category and comes in stainless or panel-ready. The Benchmark 36 frameless induction cooktop (about $3,699) offers two FlexInduction zones, SpeedBoost on every zone and a Frying Sensor. The Benchmark 30 induction range (about $4,549) has a 4.6 cu ft oven with third-element convection, a probe and a warming drawer, but no Home Connect.
The trade-off is warranty. Bosch's standard is 1 year parts and labor on the entire appliance; dishwashers add parts-only coverage for electronics and racks through year 5 and lifetime rust-through coverage (parts). That's shorter than most luxury brands' 2-year coverage. Because Bosch shares a parent with Thermador and Gaggenau, ask your dealer whether service in your area runs through the same channels, and whether an extended plan is worth it for the induction range.
Who should shop Bosch Benchmark: buyers who want top-tier dishwashing and induction performance without luxury pricing, and anyone mixing brands to fund a showpiece range. Who should skip it: those who want a longer full warranty or a matching pro-style suite.

Two Bosch 800 Series products from our newer categories are also covered; they sit below Benchmark but follow the same idea of strong features for the money. The Bosch 800 Series built-in coffee machine (about $3,999) is Bosch's only US built-in coffee model, with 11 one-touch drinks and Home Connect. The 800 Series 30-inch microwave drawer (about $2,499 MSRP) adds 26 auto programs and app control. Compare them on the coffee hub and the speed ovens and microwave drawers hub.

Bosch 800 Series 24-inch Built-in Coffee Machine
Bosch · Coffee machine · Built-in
- $3,999 MSRP
- 24″ wide
- Grinder: SilentCeramic Drive (ceramic)
- Pump pressure (bar): 19
The Bosch 800 Series BCM8450UC is the least expensive way to put a fully automatic coffee machine in a 24-inch wall niche, at a $3,999 list price. It pairs a 19-bar pump with a SilentCeramic Drive grinder, a 500 g bean container, a 0.5 L insulated milk container and 11 one-touch drinks, two cups at a time. Two flags: Bosch has no Benchmark-series built-in coffee machine in the US, so this 800 Series model is its only option, and Bosch's own product page showed it out of stock when we checked.
Bosch Benchmark 36-inch Induction Cooktop, Frameless
Bosch · Cooktop · Induction
- $3,699 MSRP
- 36″ wide
- Induction
- 1-yr full warranty
- Elements: 5
The Bosch Benchmark induction cooktop (36-inch frameless NITP660UC) packs the most tech per dollar in our cooktop lineup. About $3,699 MSRP buys five elements, two FlexInduction zones, 17 power levels, SpeedBoost on every zone, a Frying Sensor, preset power by pan position and cooktop-based hood control, with 10,800 watts of total power. The catch is a 1-year warranty, the shortest here. If you're comfortable buying an extended plan, it's a smart, modern cooktop that does more than its price suggests, especially in a busy family kitchen.
Bosch Benchmark 24-inch Dishwasher
Bosch · Dishwasher · Built-in
- $1,999 MSRP
- 24″ wide
- 1-yr full warranty
- Noise (dBA): 39

The Bosch Benchmark dishwasher is the quietest and best-value dishwasher in our luxury lineup. Rated at 39 dBA, it holds 16 place settings, uses CrystalDry for better drying, has a built-in water softener and is Energy Star certified at 240 kWh a year. About $1,999 for the stainless SHX9PCM5N makes it the least expensive model we cover. The trade-off is a 1-year full warranty, so it's best for buyers who want top performance, a near-silent kitchen and real savings, and who will accept shorter coverage.
Bosch 800 Series 30-inch Smart Microwave Drawer
Bosch · Speed oven / microwave · Microwave drawer
- $2,499 MSRP

It's the only connected drawer here, but its warranty is just 1 year and stock was tight on Bosch's site.

It's clean, understated and easy to live with. The trade-offs are no Wi-Fi, a 1-year warranty and fewer bells and whistles than Café's induction range. Bosch vs other brands
Questions about Bosch
Is Bosch Benchmark a luxury brand?
Benchmark is Bosch's premium tier rather than a luxury brand in the Sub-Zero or Gaggenau sense. It earns a spot because its dishwasher is among the quietest on this site at 39 dBA, with published 16-place-setting capacity, at a lower price than most luxury rivals. Its induction products are strong values too.
What warranty comes with Bosch Benchmark?
Bosch's US standard is a 1-year limited warranty on the entire appliance, parts and labor. Dishwashers also get parts-only coverage on electronics and racks in years 2 to 5, plus lifetime parts-only coverage against rust-through of the tub and door liner. Thermador and Miele offer 2-year full coverage.
Is Bosch the same company as Thermador and Gaggenau?
Yes. All three are owned by BSH Hausgeräte GmbH, part of the Bosch Group. Bosch Benchmark sits below Thermador and Gaggenau in price, which is why the Benchmark dishwasher and Thermador's Star Sapphire share capacity, efficiency and water softening on paper while differing on noise, finish and warranty.
