The Miele AutoDos dishwasher (G 7000 Series G 7186 SCVi) is the smartest fully integrated dishwasher in our lineup. AutoDos with PowerDisk doses detergent automatically, AutoOpen pops the door at the end of the cycle for drying, and a 58-minute quick cycle handles busy nights. It runs at 42 dBA behind your cabinet panel. At about $2,199 on mieleusa.com, labeled as a sale price, it's also surprisingly well priced. If you were shopping older G 7000 models, this is the current fully integrated pick, and it's the one to beat.
Best for: Quiet operation · Integrated / panel-ready look · Busy families

Design and build of the Miele AutoDos dishwasher
This is a fully integrated, panel-ready dishwasher. Controls sit on the top edge of the door and your cabinet panel covers the front, so it disappears into the kitchen. Miele also sells related models, the G 7196 SCVi SF and G 7766 SCVi, with AutoDos. If you were looking at older G 7106 or G 7316 SCU models, this review covers the current G 7186 SCVi instead.
The 3D MultiFlex tray at the top adjusts in height and width, which helps fit ladles, spatulas and espresso cups.
Performance on paper
AutoDos is the headline feature. A PowerDisk cartridge sits in the door and doses detergent each cycle, so you don't measure or forget to load a pod. Automatic dosing aims to use the right amount for the load; you replace the disk periodically.
At 42 dBA, it's very quiet. Decibels are logarithmic, so the 3 dBA gap to Bosch Benchmark's 39 is audible in a silent room, but either will be hard to hear over normal kitchen conversation.
AutoOpen opens the door slightly at the end of the cycle to let steam escape, which helps dry plastics and glassware. The 58-minute quick cycle covers a lightly soiled load when you need it fast. Knock and MobileStart let you start remotely through the app.
Miele says it tests the G 7000 to a 20-year equivalent service life. That's a manufacturer claim, not a guarantee, but it reflects Miele's long-life engineering approach.
Who it's for (and who should skip it)
Buy it if you want a smooth panel-ready look, love the idea of never measuring detergent, and value Miele's engineering. Families who run the dishwasher daily get the most from AutoDos.
Skip it if you want the quietest machine (Bosch Benchmark), need to confirm place settings for a big household, or don't want to buy PowerDisk refills.
Price, warranty and service
Miele listed the G 7186 SCVi at about $2,199, labeled as a sale price with no separate MSRP shown. The site also showed rebates when we checked, but we couldn't confirm their dates, so don't count on them. Ask for a package quote if you're buying other Miele appliances.
Coverage is Miele's 2-year appliance warranty, with extended plans up to 10 years available.

Our verdict
The Miele G 7186 SCVi AutoDos is the best all-around integrated dishwasher in our lineup: automatic dosing, AutoOpen drying and 42 dBA for about $2,199. It's not the quietest, and place settings aren't listed. Buy it if you want convenience and Miele engineering; choose Bosch Benchmark if silence matters most.

Questions about the Miele G 7000 Series Fully Integrated Dishwasher with AutoDos
What is Miele AutoDos?
AutoDos is Miele's automatic detergent dosing system. A PowerDisk cartridge sits in the dishwasher door and releases detergent each cycle, so you don't add pods or powder. You replace the PowerDisk periodically. It's convenient for daily users, but budget for the cartridges as an ongoing cost.
How quiet is the Miele G 7186 SCVi?
Miele rates it at 42 dBA. That's quiet enough to run during dinner in an open-plan kitchen. Bosch Benchmark is quieter at 39 dBA, and Cove is 41 dBA. Because decibels are logarithmic, small gaps are noticeable in a silent room, but all three are very quiet in normal use.
How many place settings does the Miele AutoDos dishwasher hold?
Miele's product page for the G 7186 SCVi doesn't state place settings, so we don't list a number. Ask your dealer for the spec sheet if capacity is critical. The 3D MultiFlex tray adds space for utensils, which frees room in the lower racks for plates and pots.
