Our picks, in detail
Miele G 7000 Series Fully Integrated Dishwasher with AutoDos
Miele · Dishwasher · Integrated
- $2,199 MSRP
- 24″ wide
- 2-yr full warranty
- Noise (dBA): 42
Miele's G 7000 fully integrated model has the most complete feature set here. AutoDos with PowerDisk measures detergent for every load, so you never have to dose it yourself. AutoOpen pops the door at the end of the cycle to dry dishes without extra heat. The 3D MultiFlex tray adjusts for utensils and cups. Miele says it tests this line for a 20-year equivalent service life, and a 58-minute quick cycle covers busy nights.
At 42 dBA, it is quiet, though not the quietest. It is fully integrated, so your panel covers the entire front. Wi-Fi lets you start it remotely or with a knock.
The trade-offs: AutoDos uses Miele's PowerDisk cartridges, and the warranty is 2 years with paid extended plans. Miele does not state the place settings on this model's page. Skip it if you want a stainless front or the lowest running cost.
Bosch Benchmark 24-inch Dishwasher
Bosch · Dishwasher · Built-in
- $1,999 MSRP
- 24″ wide
- 1-yr full warranty
- Noise (dBA): 39
- Place settings: 16
At 39 dBA, the Bosch Benchmark is the quietest dishwasher in our database and the least expensive pick, at about $1,999 for the stainless SHX9PCM5N. It is also the most practical on paper. It holds 16 place settings, carries Energy Star at 240 kWh per year, and has CrystalDry, a built-in water softener and AquaStop leak protection. The flexible third rack and EasyGlide racks are easy to load.
A panel-ready version (SHV9PCM3N) is available. Bosch does not show its price, so ask your dealer. It earns our top value score among dishwashers.
The trade-off is warranty. You get 1 year of parts and labor, then parts-only coverage on electronics and racks through year 5 and lifetime rust-through coverage. Skip it if a longer full warranty matters to you.
Cove 24-inch Dishwasher, Panel Ready
Cove · Dishwasher · Built-in
- $2,935-$3,160 MSRP
- 24″ wide
- 2-yr full warranty
- Noise (dBA): 41
Cove is the Sub-Zero Group's dishwasher brand. It is built to match Sub-Zero refrigeration and Wolf cooking, and it is quiet at 41 dBA. You get 12 wash cycles, 6 add-on options, 45 spray jets across 3 spray arms, a 4-stage fine-mesh filter and four interior LEDs. The middle rack adjusts and there is a stemware rail. The app handles remote start and rinse-aid alerts.
Its warranty is among the strongest here: 2 years full parts and labor, 5 years limited on pumps, motors, control boards and baskets, and a limited lifetime warranty on the stainless tub and door liner.
It is also the second most expensive pick, at about $2,935 panel-ready and $3,160 with a stainless door kit. Cove does not list place settings on the sheet we reviewed. Skip it if you are not using Sub-Zero or Wolf elsewhere. Bosch and Miele deliver similar quiet for less.
Thermador Star Sapphire 24-inch Dishwasher
Thermador · Dishwasher · Built-in
- $2,499 MSRP
- 24″ wide
- 2-yr full warranty
- Noise (dBA): 42
- Place settings: 16
Thermador's Star Sapphire is built for people who host. The Crystal Protect water softener is aimed at glassware care. StarDry uses Zeolite to help drying, and the adjustable Chef's Tool Drawer third rack fits serving utensils. It holds 16 place settings at 42 dBA, carries Energy Star, and has a multi-color Star Glow interior light, Zone Control and AquaStop. It lists for about $2,499, and a panel-ready version is available.
The warranty is a step up from Bosch's: 2 years parts and labor, then parts-only on electronics and racks through year 5.
If you are buying Thermador cooking or refrigeration, ask whether it can be one of the complimentary items in Thermador's Gift With Purchase event (January 1 to December 31, 2026). Skip it if quiet is everything. The step-down Sapphire DWHD660 lists for about $1,999 but is rated louder at 44 dBA.
Fisher & Paykel Series 11 Integrated Tall Double DishDrawer
Fisher & Paykel · Dishwasher · Drawer
- $3,099 MSRP
- 24″ wide
- 2-yr full warranty
- Noise (dBA): 44
- Place settings: 14
Fisher & Paykel's Series 11 Double DishDrawer splits a 24-inch dishwasher into two drawers you can run on their own. That is ideal for couples, small kitchens and islands where you want to wash a few dishes at a time. Each drawer holds 7 place settings, 14 total. The drawers soft-close, and stemware grippers and fold-down tines help with awkward pieces. It lists for about $3,099.
It also suits entertainers. You can run glasses in the top drawer while the bottom handles pots, or run one drawer during a party and save the other for later.
The trade-offs are real. At 44 dBA, it is the loudest pick here, it holds fewer place settings than Bosch or Thermador, and tall items can be harder to fit in a drawer. It also has our lowest performance score. Skip it if you run full loads daily for a big family.

Quietest dishwashers, ranked by dBA
Manufacturer noise ratings for the picks here:
- Bosch Benchmark: 39 dBA
- Cove DW2451: 41 dBA
- Miele G 7000 AutoDos: 42 dBA
- Thermador Star Sapphire: 42 dBA
- Fisher & Paykel Double DishDrawer: 44 dBA
All five are quiet by any standard, and the gap between them is small. A dishwasher in an open-plan kitchen next to the sofa is where a few decibels matter most. These are manufacturer ratings, not our measurements.
Panel-ready vs fully integrated
A panel-ready dishwasher takes a custom front that matches your cabinets. A fully integrated model, like the Miele here, hides its controls so the front is completely clean. Cove also sells a stainless door kit, about $225 above its panel-ready price. Your cabinetmaker builds the panel, so include it in your cabinet quote. Our panel-ready appliances guide explains sizing and hardware, and our best panel-ready refrigerators complete the look.
Drying, capacity and racks
Drying separates good from great. Miele opens the door automatically, Thermador uses Zeolite and Bosch uses CrystalDry. For capacity, Bosch and Thermador list 16 place settings, and the DishDrawer lists 14 across two drawers. Third racks on Bosch and Thermador free up the lower basket for pots.
Warranty and service
Cove's coverage is among the broadest here, with 5 years on pumps, motors and control boards. Thermador lists 2 years full plus parts through year 5, and Miele lists 2 years with optional extended plans. Bosch lists 1 year full, and Fisher & Paykel lists a 2-year limited warranty. Local authorized service matters more than the badge, so ask your dealer who repairs each brand nearby. Compare every model on the dishwashers hub.

The Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer is rated at 44 dBA. All are quiet in a normal kitchen, so let features, look and warranty decide among the top three.
What is the best panel-ready dishwasher?
Miele's G 7000 AutoDos is our top pick for its automatic dosing, AutoOpen drying and fully integrated design. Bosch Benchmark is the quietest and best value, Cove is best in a Sub-Zero and Wolf kitchen, Thermador's Star Sapphire suits entertainers, and the Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer suits small kitchens. All offer panel-ready versions.
Is a luxury dishwasher worth it?
A luxury dishwasher buys you quieter operation, better drying, smarter racks, panel-ready design and often stronger warranties. If your kitchen is open-plan or fully paneled, it is worth it. If the dishwasher sits behind a closed door and you just want clean dishes, the Bosch Benchmark delivers most of the benefits for about $1,999.
Are Cove dishwashers worth the price?
Cove makes sense in a kitchen built around Sub-Zero and Wolf. It matches the suite, it is quiet at 41 dBA, and its warranty is among the strongest here. On specs alone, Bosch Benchmark and Miele offer similar quiet for less. Choose Cove for consistency, warranty and one service network across the suite.
How much does a panel for a panel-ready dishwasher cost?
Your cabinetmaker builds the panel to match your doors, so the price depends on your cabinet line, door style and finish. Ask for it as a line item in your cabinet quote. If you would rather use a factory front, Cove's stainless door kit version lists about $225 above its panel-ready price.
