The Fisher & Paykel Series 11 Integrated Tall Double DishDrawer dishwasher (DD24DTX6HI1) is the most flexible dishwasher in our lineup and the least conventional. Two independent drawers of 7 place settings each let you run small loads, separate delicate glassware from pots, or keep one drawer for clean dishes. It's panel-ready, soft-closing and connected. At about $3,099 MSRP, with 44 dBA and 14 total place settings, it trades capacity and quiet for convenience and ergonomics. It suits small households, entertainers and anyone who hates bending.
Best for: Smaller kitchens · Entertainers · Integrated / panel-ready look
What we like
- Two independent drawers of 7 place settings each
- Run small loads without waiting to fill a full dishwasher
- Fully integrated panel-ready design, plus a stainless professional version
- Soft-close drawers, stemware grippers and adjustable tines
- Connected features through the Fisher & Paykel app
Watch out for
- 44 dBA, the loudest dishwasher we cover
- 14 place settings total, versus 16 for Bosch Benchmark and Thermador
- About $3,099, more than larger, quieter dishwashers
- Each drawer is shallower than a full-height tub, so big pots can be tricky
Design and build of the double DishDrawer
The DD24DTX6HI1 is fully integrated: two cabinet panels cover the drawers so it reads as a pair of kitchen drawers. Fisher & Paykel also sells a professional stainless version, the DD24DTX6PX1, at the same price. Both drawers are soft-close.
Drawer loading is the ergonomic win. You pull out a drawer and load from above, with less bending than a standard drop-down door, especially for the top drawer. Stemware grippers hold wine glasses in place, and fold-down, pitch-adjustable tines adapt to bowls and pots.
Performance on paper
Each drawer handles 7 place settings, for 14 total. That's less than the 16 offered by Bosch Benchmark and Thermador's Star Sapphire. The flexibility is what you're paying for: run one drawer after breakfast, the other after dinner, or both together after a party.
At 44 dBA, this is the loudest dishwasher in our group. Decibels are logarithmic, so 44 versus Bosch's 39 is a noticeable step in a quiet room. It's still a quiet appliance, but if silence is your priority, it's not the pick.
SmartDrive is Fisher & Paykel's named wash technology. The product page also lists connected features for remote monitoring, so confirm app details with your dealer if that matters to you.
Our editorial ratings score it lower on performance than the conventional dishwashers here, since smaller drawers limit large-pot capacity.
Who it's for (and who should skip it)
Buy it if you run small loads often, live alone or as a couple, entertain and want to separate glassware from pots, or need easier loading for back or mobility reasons. It's also great as a second dishwasher near a bar or prep sink.
Skip it if you cook big family meals with large pots and sheet pans, or want the quietest machine. A Bosch Benchmark or Miele AutoDos handles bulk loads better for less.

How the DishDrawer compares
The Miele G 7000 AutoDos dishwasher review covers a full-size integrated alternative at 42 dBA. The Cove 24-inch dishwasher review suits Sub-Zero and Wolf kitchens, and the Bosch Benchmark dishwasher review is the quiet value pick. See our best luxury dishwashers and the dishwasher hub.
Our verdict
The Fisher & Paykel Double DishDrawer is a smart choice for small households, entertainers and anyone who wants easier loading: two independent 7-place drawers in a smooth integrated design. At 44 dBA and about $3,099, it gives up quiet and capacity. Buy it for flexibility; buy a standard dishwasher for bulk loads.

Questions about the Fisher & Paykel Series 11 Integrated Tall Double DishDrawer
Is a double DishDrawer as good as a regular dishwasher?
It's different. The Fisher & Paykel offers 14 place settings across two independent drawers, so it's great for frequent small loads and separating delicate items. A standard dishwasher like the Bosch Benchmark holds 16 place settings and is quieter at 39 dBA. Large-pot cooks usually prefer a full-height tub.
How loud is the Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer?
Fisher & Paykel rates it at 44 dBA, the highest figure among the dishwashers we cover. It's still a quiet appliance, but Bosch Benchmark (39 dBA), Cove (41 dBA), Miele and Thermador (42 dBA) are quieter. In an open-plan kitchen, that gap may be noticeable during evening runs.
Can I run just one DishDrawer at a time?
Yes. The two drawers operate independently, each holding 7 place settings. You can run one drawer for a small load or use both for a full load. A common approach is to keep one drawer for delicate glassware and the other for everyday dishes, which also means fewer half-empty cycles.
